There are no set formula...it depends on the size of the basket, how much you add in shreds, how many items, etc. But, you can build up the bottom of the basket with crumpled tissue or paper to lessen the amount of the shreds that you have to use. We have however provided some information listed below to help you make a more informed decision.
One Pound paper shred
Each bag contains 16 full ounces of shred.
There are approximately 30-40 handful’s of shred in a pound of crinkle cut shred.
 Five Pound paper shred
Our five pound boxes are packaged in a 18" x 12" x 12" box.
Each box contains 80 ounces of shred.
 Ten Pound paper shred
Our ten pound boxes are packaged in a 24" x 16" x 11" box and are machine packed very tightly and will expand.
Each box contains 160 ounces of shred.
Fourty Pound paper shred
Our fourty pound boxes are packaged in a 24" x 40" x 18" box and are machine packed and will expand.
Fifty Pound paper shredOur fifty pound boxes are packaged in a 19" x 16" x 40" box . Bales are packaged inside a cardboard box before shipping.
